The charming 1940’s Cotswold Cottage was a custom home built by owner and builder Lewis Kemp. The construction is made of brick and wood siding with a barrel-tile roof. The home was purchased by the current owners several years ago. They have enhanced both the interior and the exterior.

The home has 3 bedrooms, 3 ˝ baths, living room, dining room, kitchen and Florida room with covered outside loggia. There is approximately 2,100 square feet of living space.

There have been many upgrades to the property to help maintain the integrity of this period home. A soft color scheme has been chosen to allow the rooms to flow into each other. Natural oak flooring, original to the house, has random planks accented with pegs. The same flooring was added to the addition. A fireplace in the living room has Art Deco sconces and custom gratings typical of that era. New windows and fluted moldings have been added throughout the house to lend continuity and accent the wooden blinds.

The kitchen has been completely renovated and combines solid maple custom cabinets with granite flooring, granite counters and custom glass tile backsplash. TrompeL’eoil is applied to the walls with British Colonial influences. The palm trees reach up to the ceiling and the pineapple above the sink says “welcome” as you enter.

In 2003 the rear of the house was renovated to add powder room, master suite, Florida room and outdoor loggia. French doors open out to the loggia area. Gas lamps accent the covered area and added space for outdoor for outdoor entertaining. The roofs were covered in natural slate in front and custom copper at the rear.
