306 N. Lakeside Drive
Judith and PeterJust

Judith and Peter Just purchased their 1934 Spanish style home in 2008 because it was the perfect package of location, view and historic charm. Peter, a transplant from Europe, met Judith in New York then they moved to a gated community in Florida. They were looking for the right mix of an interesting community and a classic Florida home when they found Parrot Cove. During one of Peter and Judith's morning strolls they discovered a duplicate of their bungalow on S. Lakeside Drive. Both homes have the same 306 Lakeside address!

Although the living room, kitchen and Florida room were remodeled to create an open space, perfect for entertaining, they retained the original hardwood floors and fireplace. Because both Judith and Peter often work from home, space has been allocated for their offices in the front of their home. The best view, the golf course and intracoastal, was reserved for their ‘relaxing’ space. The kitchen was gutted and a swimming pool was installed.

The yard, originally a flat surface of grass, is a work in progress to achieve a wild and natural look. The new look is xeriscape design so that they have maximum time to relax by the pool and for their favorite sport, croquet.
