226 North O Street

This single-story Victorian-appointed cottage was built in 1921 and is currently owned by Rosemary and Michael, who moved into their home in February of 2003. They both have roots in Miami, so it is appropriate that they now own a Dade County wood-frame house. One of the attractions of the house is the wood –burning fireplace with a sandstone brick front, which Rosemary and Michael refurbished and brought back to its original state. The house also has exterior arched windows and original hardwood floors.

The ceiling in the kitchen is a wood tongue and grove and the room still has its original oversized kitchen sink.

There are classic chandeliers in both the living room and the dining room and the many antique pieces throughout the house add to the ambience.

French doors, with original crystal doorknobs and brass key holes, open out onto a bright and cheerful sunroom, where you can enjoy the view of the lovely yard.

The house is a little over 1,300 square feet and has a gabled hip roof line with a welcoming front porch. The single, detached garage also includes a useful workshop.
