Built in 1930 as one of the original bungalows, the house has evolved along with Lake Worth. Originally built as a 2 bedroom house, additions in the 50’s and 70’s along with a renovation in the 60’s created a property with a 2 bedroom house, a 1 bedroom studio and 2, 1 bedroom efficiencies, all of which were used primarily as seasonal rentals.During the majority of this time Lake Worth was a very seasonal destination, that lost the majority of its population as the winter turned to spring.

The property was purchased by its current owner in 2001, the interior was gutted then underwent extensive renovations through 2004. All but one of the units was combined to create a single-family home out of the main building with a separate mother-in-law suite. During the renovations great care was taken to keep the feel of a 1930’s beach home while still updating literally everything from the wiring and plumbing to the appliances and pool.

Some of the renovations were: creating a master bedroom from an added-on efficiency; the roof was retrussed beyond code; ceilings were raised to follow the roof-line; old barn-board wood flooring and pickled Cyprus-like ceilings were added; stone floor was installed in the kitchen and the bathrooms were custom-tiled.
